Careers at MSC: Business Development Manager - Healthcare Professional Division
Our Sales and Marketing Department is seeking a Business Development Manager in the Healthcare Division. You will be responsible for the sales of MSC SimSuite services to targeted hospitals, hospital systems and buying groups. The BDM will be a key member of the sales and marketing team that ensures the Company is developing the right services to meet customer needs and developing the right messaging tools to articulate solutions to customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Cultivate relationships with appropriate individuals to create the need for SimSuite services within key clinical facilities, hospital systems, hospital associations and buying groups within a designated region.
- Identify and develop relationships with key national opinion leaders, including visionary clinicians and business executives who are interested and support the need for simulation systems that efficiently train, evaluate and enhance individual clinician’s skills to improve patient outcomes.
- Manage the sales process to meet quarterly and annual revenue targets within an expense budget. This process includes opening of the account, qualification of the prospect, account needs analysis, matching of solutions, creation of messaging and quantitative tools to articulate solutions, development of the business proposal, closing of the sale and implementation of the service package with the Director of Clinical Operations. This process includes identification and working with clinical and business champions, influencers, decision makers and users in complex organizational structures.
- Conduct on-going market research to understand the needs of our customers, identify new trends and analyze the strengths of our competitors’ products. Effectively communicate this information to MSC marketing. Provide input to marketing on the development of tools and services that meet the customer’s needs during both the sales and implementation processes.
Qualifications and Job Requirements:
- Minimum of B.S., BBA or B.A. with 10 years experience in progressively responsible positions. MBA preferred, but not required.
- Exceptional track record in sales with experience selling to “C” level executives.
- Previous experience in capital equipment sales to complex organizational structures, preferably hospitals and healthcare systems.
- Proven communication, organization and problem solving skills.
- Entrepreneurial approach.
- Project management, people management, marketing and finance experience a plus.
- Commitment to the highest ethical business and relationship standards.
- Position may be based in Denver, Texas metro-plexes or Philadelphia. Willing to move to Denver for career advancement.
- Travel up to 75%, depending on location of home based office.
