Most people in the U.S. are likely to experience a missed, delayed, or wrong diagnosis in their lifetime. Patient safety is a public health issue. One in 10 patients develops a health care acquired condition during hospitalization. United for Patient Safety is an ongoing education and engagement campaign that works to bring together diverse organizations with a commitment to patient safety and the general public to learn more about the topic, start important dialogue, and take action for improved safety conditions.

As part of Bakersfield Heart Hospital’s dedication to delivering high-quality patient care, it will be hosting sepsis education and training for their staff and physicians during the week of November 7, 2016.  "While hands-on, experiential learning is indispensable, healthcare professionals are increasingly concerned about, and committed to, the safety of patients," explains Laura Cunanan, VP of Clinical.
