William E. Younkes

Mr. William E. Younkes is president and CEO of Medical Simulation Corporation. He has more than 25 years of management experience in the development of emerging technologies and early stage companies. Mr. Younkes served in a management capacity at Baxter Travenol, where he led the development and commercialization of the company's I.V. pharmaceutical delivery business. From 1980 to 1986 this business grew from $2 million to over $200 million in annual revenue and was one of the most profitable businesses for the company. For the last 14 years Mr. Younkes served as CEO of several venture capital funded start-ups and has raised over $70 million in financing. Of these start-ups, one company was acquired, one resulted in a successful IPO with an initial market value of over $148 million, and one is privately held.
Mr. Younkes is experienced in a number of high technology areas, including medical devices, pharmaceuticals, software products, rechargeable batteries, and aviation. He is a pilot, holds an engineering degree from Purdue University and currently serves as an advisor to a number of early stage companies.
John D. Carroll

Dr. John D. Carroll is medical director for Medical Simulation Corporation. He brings international credibility and extensive experience in clinical medicine, training, medical research, and hospital administration. He is a full professor of medicine at the University of Colorado and director of interventional cardiology and the cardiac catheterization laboratories at University of Colorado Hospital in Denver. He has 24 years of extensive clinical experience with board certification in internal medicine, cardiovascular and interventional cardiology. He has over 12 years experience directing hospital-based programs in invasive cardiology in Denver as well as the University of Chicago Hospital. Furthermore, he has trained a broad range of physicians from the initial phase of medical school to the subspecialty of interventional cardiology.
Dr. Carroll is also an accomplished medical investigator having achieved academic tenure at both the University of Chicago and University of Colorado with several hundred medical publications, numerous national peer-reviewed research grants, and is a member of several international editorial boards. Dr. Carroll is a regional leader in the clinical community and the founder of the Cardiovascular Intervention Society of Colorado and Wyoming. He is a cum laude graduate of Princeton University and Pritzker School of Medicine of the University of Chicago. Dr. Carroll received advanced cardiovascular training at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston and University Hospital in Zurich.
Sandra Schreiber

Ms. Sandra Schreiber is senior vice president of operations and an officer of Medical Simulation Corporation. Ms. Schreiber joined MSC part time in March 2000 and began full time in September 2000. Ms. Schreiber is responsible for the technical and general operations of MSC. With over 25 years of experience, Ms. Schreiber has expertise in establishing and developing the technical and general operations of start-up companies.
Prior to joining MSC, Ms. Schreiber served as an executive vice president of Bolder Technologies Corporation, where she worked from 1993 to 2000. Ms. Schreiber also served as the vice president of technical operations of Ivion Corporation, a manufacturer of infusion pumps and supplies for the medical industry. She also designed and developed products and managed various functions for Cobe Laboratories Inc. and Teledyne Corporation. Ms. Schreiber's degree is in chemical engineering.
David McKenzie
Mr. David McKenzie has served as Medical Simulation Corporation's vice president of finance since May 2001. Mr. McKenzie gained extensive experience working with companies ranging from start-ups to publicly traded entities while employed as a member of the Enterprise Group of Arthur Andersen & Company in Boston throughout the 1980s. Prior to joining MSC, Mr. McKenzie was the vice president of operations of GeriMed of America, Inc., a geriatric medical management company specializing in Medicare risk contracting, and chief financial officer and general manager of Seattle Fish Company, a distributor of fresh and frozen seafood. Mr. McKenzie is a Certified Public Accountant.
Dave E. Wilson
Mr. Dave E. Wilson is vice president of technology for Medical Simulation Corporation. Mr. Wilson joined MSC in May of 1997 and brings more than 30 years of programming experience and more than 15 years of experience in managing technical teams. He worked in the Naval Nuclear Propulsion industry for 20 years. Mr. Wilson's projects included a real-time scheduling system for refueling a multi-reactor ship, a real-time pressurized water nuclear reactor transient simulator, and a real-time software control system for joining the forward and aft portions of the F-18 E/F during final assembly. Mr. Wilson developed a variety of commercial Microsoft®, MS-DOS®, and Windows® based products that contributed 10-15 million dollars per year to the Frank Russell Company.
Mr. Wilson is an acknowledged expert in most of Microsoft's current and emerging technologies and is skilled at leveraging these technologies to shorten development time and provide generic and scalable solutions.
Gerald L. McDermott
Mr. Gerald L. McDermott serves as vice president of development and field operations for Medical Simulation Corporation. Mr. McDermott managed the design, development, and manufacturing of complex medical equipment while employed at General Electric Medical Systems Corporation for 15 years. Mr. McDermott provided project leadership in global transfers of technology and manufacturing capabilities and managed a large staff of software, electrical, mechanical, and industrial engineers who supported capital equipment shipments of 500 million dollars per year. Mr. McDermott has extensive working knowledge of ISO 9000 and FDA GMP regulations. While employed at General Electric Medical Systems, Mr. McDermott was trained as a Six Sigma Black Belt and received extensive training on management and leadership techniques. Mr. McDermott has a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Milwaukee School of Engineering and a Masters Degree in Technology Management from the University of Denver.
Amy Wedeking Shannon
With an exceptional background in sales management, corporate account management, finance, pricing and business development, Ms. Shannon serves as vice president of sales and marketing for Medical Simulation Corporation with primary focus on its hospital business. Ms. Shannon is a key contributor in defining MSC's manufacturer as well as the hospital marketing and sales strategies and overall business development programs. Ms. Shannon has over 16 years of experience in the medical device and pharmaceutical industries. She worked with Guidant Corporation and Eli Lilly across multiple divisions. She serves as a volunteer faculty member at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. With a degree from the U. of Colorado in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology, Ms. Shannon earned her MBA from Duke University.
